How I came to this work
I began coaching in my early twenties while co-running a coaching business that supported women to start their own businesses. Much of the work involved helping new business owners think through how they wanted to build their businesses and how they would market them.
During this time I also co-wrote two books – Making Money Online and Blogging: The Essential Guide – and wrote personal development content for a range of publications. That work deepened my interest in how people think, learn and create change in their lives.

Later I ran my own marketing business, where I found myself working more closely with founders and business owners on the wider questions behind their businesses – direction, confidence, decision-making and growth. The conversations increasingly moved beyond marketing and into the human side of leadership and change.
In more recent years I have worked with many women navigating periods of significant personal change, often wanting to move towards lives and careers that feel more aligned and self-actualised. Alongside one-to-one coaching, I have also facilitated retreats in the UK, Spain and Scotland focused on reflection, personal development and life direction.
Across all of these experiences, the common thread has been creating a thoughtful space where people can step back, think clearly and move forward with greater intention. Over time this work has increasingly evolved into supporting leaders and professionals who carry responsibility for others and value having a space to think well about how they lead themselves and others.
My background
Wanting to understand these processes more deeply led me to study psychology formally.
Before completing my psychology degree, I trained in coaching, mentoring and cognitive behavioural approaches, gaining a Diploma in Coaching, Mentoring and CBT. This practical training formed an early foundation for the way I work with people in one-to-one conversations.
I later completed a First Class BSc (Hons) in Psychology and I am due to begin an MSc in Coaching Psychology later this year.
Alongside my coaching practice, I also teach adult learners in further education, delivering courses focused on psychological wellbeing and mental health.
I am a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS).
How I think about coaching
I see coaching as a space for careful thinking.
Many of the people I work with are already capable and experienced in their field. They don’t lack intelligence or ideas, what they often lack is the space to step back from the demands of their role and think things through properly.
Coaching provides that pause.
My role is to listen closely, notice patterns and ask the questions that help people see their situation more clearly. From that clarity, better decisions tend to follow.
